It’s been a long and interesting week already! But the fun is just beginning. Most of the week I have not only been away from keyboard, but internet, cell service, and civilization. We stayed at Pickett State Park and there was nothing for miles. It wasn’t perfect, but that separation was certainly peaceful.
Until yesterday around noon, when all the plans fell apart for a while. That lasted until the moment when we needed it to go perfectly, and it did. I want to thank those of you who were at the wedding, and particularly those who helped with cleaning up afterward. I didn’t catch everyone’s names, but Katie and Leon and Brad and Paula and the Beard … thank you.
I’m a bit jumbled this morning. I don’t think I have time to explain everything, though. I need to get our room ready to be base of operations for the Wedding Reception this evening, and meet friends for breakfast and then we are going to build the Little Man his first computer… and then the con starts!
I will try to put up photos as I go. Much depends on my being able to return to the room on a semi-regular basis, and my schedule precludes that happening more than once or twice a day. Whew…
So I will get started on the epic tidy job, and probably take a picture of the big bug in the bathroom. Thank goodness the Jr. Mad Scientist is only afraid of spiders.
