So I know I said I wasn’t doing cons for the forseeable future. I’m not. But if you happen to be at this one you’ll be able to find me at Booth 520 all weekend. I’m hanging out with friend and fellow author James Young, who will be hawking his excellent books, his lovely wife Anita’s art, and generally being hail-fellow-well-met. Come by, buy a book, say hello!
I’m not planning on having books with me, I’m there supporting James. I’ll have art supplies so I can always doodle. And the daughter-things will be wandering the con showing off their cosplay, socializing with fellow geeks, and learning more about cosplay. It’s fun to watch.
Mystik Waboose will be there, too, selling awesomely geeky tee shirts, pins, bags, and I don’t know what-all at their booth.
For me, this is all about the socialization. I am not such an introvert as the First Reader, and I need some time with kindred minds on occasion to feel happy. I miss all my friends when I can’t see them, and LibertyCon can’t be a year-round event. So I’m excited to see old friends, and maybe make a new one or two!

If you ever meet a fat man in a Japanese magical princess costume, just keep walking. Trust me on this one.
Astra, Notes from a Life (From Wearing the Cape, Chapter Nineteen) 😀
Um. Ok?
It was meant to be a joke about co-players wearing un-appropriate costumes.
IE They don’t look good in the costumes.
It looks like great fun! Sadly, I’ve never made it to a convention myself; I suppose I’ll have to keep my eyes open for one.
