Milkweed pods.
The last goldenrod and aster of the season.
British soldiers in their red caps growing on an old log.
Chokecherries made almost sweet by frosts.
A wet bee rescued from a bucket.
A Nashville Rambler watching us from a bush.
The ruddy leaves of maples.
A tiny caterpillar named Spike.
My daughters in the sunshine laughing.
The last raspberries of summer.
Thus is Fall and today, my favorite season.
