You won’t want to miss this one. It’s not your run-of-the-mill fantasy. When Peter and I were talking about the cover, he described it to me as something that was influenced by his time in Africa and his reading of H Rider Haggard, and I was sold. It’s not just that I’m easy when it comes to tales of the Dark Continent, it’s that Peter’s writing is always solidly enjoyable. King’s Champion is a stand-alone, but I suspect his fans will be clamoring for more.
And yes, this is one of my covers. So I’m proud that I was able to give a good face to a fantastic tale.
I’ll post a longer review when I have time. Must run off to work now.
