Welcome to the chaotic and adorable world of Toast & Gidget.

Professional Alarm Clock
When I started working on this, I was more worried about the comedy than the art. While I did study comedy many years ago, that was more for live performances, highly improvisational, and I wasn’t sure how well it would translate. Still not certain. However! I am having fun with these, so hopefully that translates even if I’m not playing to the audience with instant feedback.

I’m pleased to introduce a bit of whimsy I’ve wanted to do for years, now. I finally decided the art doesn’t have to be perfect, there doesn’t have to be a sequential story line, it would just be silly and heart-warming, and who doesn’t like that? So!
I’ll be sharing these on Tuesday and Thursday every week. Feel free to share! You might get someone to smile and their day will be better! Doesn’t have to be perfect, just better.
As I draw more of these, I see my artwork improving slightly. Time will tell if that trend continues, but mostly I’m just doing a simple cartoon in the interests of time and my limited patience as I recover from pretty severe burnout. And yes, the art daily is helping with that. I’m unleashing my inner creative and she’s charging full speed ahead with two fists full of art supplies and a shriek of glee.
