Welcome to the chaotic and adorable world of Toast & Gidget.

The Great Escape
The comic implies I’ve left the door unguarded, when it’s no such thing. Toast is slippery and agile and will dash madly out past us as soon as the door opens. So far she’s rarely gone further than the massed flowerbeds on either side of the walkway. We catch her and return her to the indoor safety, but she remains convinced the outdoors is where she wants to be. But only on her own terms, not the harness and leash!

I’m pleased to introduce a bit of whimsy I’ve wanted to do for years, now. I finally decided the art doesn’t have to be perfect, there doesn’t have to be a sequential story line, it would just be silly and heart-warming, and who doesn’t like that? So!
I’ll be sharing these on Tuesday and Thursday every week. Feel free to share! You might get someone to smile and their day will be better! Doesn’t have to be perfect, just better.
As I draw more of these, I see my artwork improving slightly. Time will tell if that trend continues, but mostly I’m just doing a simple cartoon in the interests of time and my limited patience as I recover from pretty severe burnout. And yes, the art daily is helping with that. I’m unleashing my inner creative and she’s charging full speed ahead with two fists full of art supplies and a shriek of glee.
