The backyard neighbors have a pair of bonded brother cats. Since our girls are strictly indoors, in spite of Toast’s best efforts, the brothers patrol our yard, which I appreciate. Baggins is a gray tabby who will linger nearby while I am gardening. Smeagol is a pure black void cat who will come to take his tribute in pats if he is in the mood. They both drink from the water tank right under my office window. There is a cat tree just inside that window, where the indoor cats like to sleep or watch birds. I think you see where this is going…
