My studio, where I do most of my writing and art, doubles as a guest room. I keep a folding bed in the closet, and to prepare for an incipient arrival, have to wrestle the whole thing out and set it up, which the cats don’t care to help with. However, as soon as it’s done and I’m making the bed, well…
