Some days it don’t pay to get out of bed.
I had every intention of writing up an LTUE AAR today. That did not happen. On the upside, the lot of us are safely at home and I can sleep in my own bed tonight. The car is in the shop, tomorrow I’ll have a better idea of what gives. I really didn’t think the pothole was that bad…
I had a wonderful time at the con. Seeing friends fed my soul, sitting on panels and having conversations with fellow authors fed my writer brain. I’m very glad I went. Details will follow soon, along with an, er, more polished version of the airport saga for those who are amused by such dabbling.
But honestly, after yesterday and today, I’m ready for good old fashioned dull routine.

The potholes are never that bad! 👿
Take care and I hope nothing is seriously (as in expensive) wrong with the car.
This was in Dayton. They are ALL that bad! LOL
Oh no, they are never “That Bad” until your car hits them. 😈
I will see your SW Ohio potholes, which eat VW Bugs, and raise you No. Virginia potholes that eat mini buses. 😉 (Of course neither compare to PA potholes, which I’ve been told can eat Greyhound buses.)
Glad you’re home safe and (relatively) sound.
I grew up in the air travel industry (father worked for Delta 25+ years) and the airports of Chicago are regarded as very very bad.
> Atlanta is worse, according to some surveys I have read, but as it is my home I don’t experience that. 😉
This was my second-worst travel experience (the other involved a cancelled flight leading to sleeping overnight in the Boston airport). I’ve flown through O’Hare several times with no problems. But this time my luck ran dry.
car broke?
Well, definitely two flat tires and it will have to have an alignment. More than that, i don’t know yet. The worst thing is, I didn’t think I’d hit the pothole that hard!
