New Books Today!

I have a new release, but so do some friends and fellow authors, so you’ll have plenty to read this weekend!

Zombie Maggots is out just in time for Halloween! It’s available in ebook and paperback for your reading pleasure. If you’d like to know more about the writing process of it, check out my Mad Genius Club post for today.

What could be worse than a zombie apocalypse? Two tales: A nameless protagonist faces off with humanity’s worst fears. The motley group just needs to find someplace safe. Maybe, then, they can think about the families that were left behind.

In the second story of the apocalypse, the defenders of what’s left of civilization discover the cold winters of Alaska are not enough to save them. Right now, they need some redneck engineering, and a whole lot of luck. Time is growing short, and the skies are buzzing…

The story behind the story is that I’d been invited to send a story in for the Trailer Park anthology by Three Ravens Press. I couldn’t manage it, with the initial move to Texas happening, so I sent it in for the second antho, and it didn’t make the cut. Neither did Jim Curtis’s excellent tale of swamp rats dealing with monsters from… well, I won’t tell! Go read Country Boys (and Girls) will Survive and you tell me!

If after you’ve read our stories and you’re curious how much better the others could possibly be, then definitely check out the second volume of It Came From the Trailer Park

If you’re ready for some lighter fare and want to escape reality for a bit, CV Walter has a new book out. Healed by His Alien Nurse is the seventh in her Alien Brides series. It’s a bingeable series, so if you haven’t read any of them, definitely start at the first and you’ll lose many hours to pleasure.

Last but certainly not least, after years of patient waiting, we have a new entry in Sarah Hoyt’s Shifter series. Bowl of Red is the fourth book, and I am looking forward to reading it later this weekend (Sorry, Sarah, I had downloaded CV Walter’s book first…)

And the ultimate vintage Halloween collection, presented by IktaPop…

  1. …it’s not “ultimate”, I already have next year’s collection planned. So, at most, penultimate. 😛

    1. Allow me my hyperbole! Also, I’m glad to hear you’ll be doing it again. Now you have a benchmark to measure against.

      1. I was just being cute. This is actually the second collection, but last year’s didn’t get released until… December. So, yeah, this will be the benchmark.

Also, these are limited-time deals. Each one gets unpublished as the next one gets published. There are sub-collections (coming, for this year’s) that remain available, but the whole shebang is time-limited.

        1. And I was teasing you. Good to know on the limited time.
